“Further Adventures” – Pt. 6 of The Modesty Ablaze Diaries

All of my Diaries are excerpts from my actual diary notes. Handwritten initially in the early years, and then subsequently feverishly typed into our home computer and laptop as the years went by and all this wonderful new technology became more and more available.

Part 1 of my diaries, “The Journey”, detailed some of my earliest liaisons and developing relationships with several of my regular lovers. I subsequently then published four shorter diary excerpts into Ebook format, recounting specific evenings and fun times with those Lovers and some of my first exciting experiences of the open-relationship and swinging lifestyle I enjoyed with my Hubby of over 30 years.

However, ever since “The Journey” was first published, I’ve regularly received lots of emails and messages at my blog-pages asking me to publish more of those very first diary entries.

So ... “Further Adventures” returns to those earlier times, and carries on from, where “Part 1 The Journey” left off, with the entries being “copied and pasted” almost un-edited, in the diary format in which they were first written.

For that reason several of the chapters here have appeared in both “The Journey” and “Arrivals & Departures” . . . however as this book’s purpose is to simply reproduce my original personal diaries . . . I have kept them here in the chronological order and sequence-in-time in which I wrote them.

Both the children had a friend round for our Sunday meal and each would be sleeping over, and, I knew, would be staying up late, so I was concerned about how I was going to explain about going out “without Dad” late on a Sunday evening. As I lay in the bath soaking though, I did begin feeling quite naughty and excited . . . here I was on a Sunday evening, preparing to meet with my lover (whom I hadn’t seen for over a month), not at a hotel, but at his own home, and just for an hour or so!

J was constantly coming back and forth into the bathroom, and then following me into the bedroom, continuing his suggestions from the night before, about what I should wear and what I should say. I told him that he was “more excited than I was” and that I didn’t want to “plan” things and just to let me to get ready in peace. I sent him back downstairs to join the kids with their DVD movies and keep them occupied.

I ignored J’s suggestions of wearing just my “boots and stockings” under my coat, and instead chose a new-ish grey woollen dress that I’d treated myself to before Christmas. With earrings and a necklace (both of which S had given me as separate gifts before), and my black heels, I told J (when I saw the slight look of disappointment on his face), that I wanted to feel “comfortable and casual” and not “tarty” this evening.
